Christmas with Vertep and Nativity scene

This year’s celebration of the Nativity of Christ in our church was especially warm and filled with light. We gathered together to share in the joy of Christ’s birth, to pray, and to feel a true sense of unity.

A special atmosphere was created by the new Nativity installation placed in the church — quiet, gentle, and filled with deep meaning. It gently reminded each of us that Christ comes into the world humbly, with love, and waits for an open heart.

The Nativity play (Vertep) performed by the Sunday School children together with their parents was deeply moving and truly touching. Our heartfelt thanks go to all the participants — the angels Sofiia Zaika and Olya Rymarchuk; King Herod, Matvii Kinash; the soldiers Nazar Dmytruk, Ostap Stankevych, and Zakhar Stankevych; the shepherds Diana Pantsiuk and Maria Dmytruk; Death, portrayed by Maria Rymarchuk; and the Three Wise Men — Tania Pantsiuk, Olia Dmytruk, and Dmytro Kyrychenko. Sincere emotions, shining eyes, remarkable performances, and great joy filled the space — all of this made the presentation truly warm and heartfelt. It was clear how faith was being passed from heart to heart. So, we truly hope that this beautiful tradition will establish and continue to develop at our parish.

Through shared prayer and Holy Communion, we felt a true sense of unity — like one family in Christ. The choir’s singing and Christmas carols filled the church with peace, joy, and light — a light we want to carry into our homes and daily lives.

This Christmas reminded us once again: when we are together, when we pray and rejoice together, God is near. May this light remain with us for a long time to come.

Christ is Born! — Glorify Him!
