Success of Pysanka Workshops

We are delighted to share the success of our Pysanka Workshops held on March 22 and 29 at the Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin. These gatherings brought our parish and the Ottawa community together to celebrate the centuries-old art of Ukrainian Easter egg decorating.

Thanks to the dedication of our parish volunteers and members of Ottawa’s Pysanka Artist Community, participants of all ages learned the symbolism and techniques behind pysanka design. The workshops were filled with creativity, joy, and community spirit.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all who helped organize and lead the sessions, including Leslie Camaron, Tanya Giles, Joanne Dero, Kristine Broadhead, Ksenia Zubriy, Dobr. Olha Kinash, and Father Taras Kinash, along with many other talented helpers whose efforts made these events possible.

The workshops strengthened our sense of unity and pride in Ukrainian heritage. We look forward to continuing this beautiful tradition through future events celebrating our faith and culture.
