Join us every Sunday following the Divine Liturgy for a joyful time of faith, learning, friendship, and community.
This year, our Sunday School will have a special focus on the Holy Sacraments, helping children better understand their faith and guiding them step by step in preparation for Confession and Holy Communion.
Through age-appropriate lessons, discussions, activities, and prayer, we hope to help our children grow closer to Christ and participate more consciously in the life of the Church.

Parish Feast Day of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral on Sunday, September 13.
This year’s celebration will be especially meaningful as, together with our Parish Feast, we will celebrate the blessing of our new church bells — an important and joyful moment in the life of our Cathedral.

Following the blessing, we invite everyone to gather in fellowship for a community potluck lunch and concert program. Please bring a dish to share and register in advance so that we can prepare for everyone.

Parish Picnic on Father's Day
Father's Day Parish Picnic Celebration - June 21, 12 PM
Join us on June 21 at 12 PM for our traditional Father’s Day Parish Picnic at the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral, located at 1000 Byron Avenue, Ottawa. This special event will celebrate the wonderful fathers in our community and mark the end of the educational year for our Sunday School students.
The picnic will be in a potluck style, so we encourage everyone to bring their favorite dish to share. Thanks to the support of UWAC, we will also have delicious kovbasky to enjoy. It will be a day filled with fun for all ages, delicious food, and great company.
To ensure a spot, please reserve your place through Eventbrite by Thursday, June 18 so can provide the sufficient amount of kovbasky. Let’s come together as a parish family to celebrate, enjoy the outdoors, and create lasting memories. We look forward to seeing you there!
