Dear Past and Present Parishioners and friends of our Parish

Slava Isusu Khrystu

Parish Council

We would like to take this opportunity, as members of the 2009-2010 Parish Council, to extend a heart felt thank you and congratulations to all the past and present Parishioners on the 60th anniversary of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral, Ottawa. Without the founding members and dedicated volunteers this 60th Anniversary event would not be possible.

We would also like to thank the 60th Anniversary Commemorative Book Committee led by Nina Romas and her hard-working and dedicated team of volunteers. Their tireless efforts and determination brought this commemorative book to life. It will be a valuable source of information and interest for decades to come. May it be cherished by one and all.

In this, our 60th anniversary year, much effort and time is being spent by many volunteers to ensure that the celebratory events are successful in remembering our glorious past, commemorating our present as well as providing hope and vision for the future of our parish. This commemorative book plays a pivotal role in venerating our history and celebrating our present-day.

We, the council members, are excited about our parish’s future and feel very privileged to be working with Father Ihor. We will continue to work diligently on the parish member’s behalf to ensure the continuing operation and growth of our parish and to make sure the church will always be available to fulfil your community and spiritual needs for many more years to come.

Parish Council

In closing, as we celebrate our 60th anniversary, we would like to take this opportunity to extend our sincere congratulations and wish the members and many friends of our parish, health and happiness, now and in the future.
